For all you Bikers and wannabikers...

Just interested to know if anyone from here is heading to Sarnia, ON, for the annual Biker Blessing? It's a Christian outreach run by a sister-church of the one I attend, and they usually have 200+ bikers from all over (incl. Michigan ;) ).

This year, pastor Kirk Wellum is in Africa doing good deeds, for our pastor, Paul Martin, will be the speaker.

I hope to have more details soon.

I don't do customs.

We missed the DWO (Detroit World Outreach) blessing of the bikes this year. I have a real problem going to Canada, or rather going through customs so I just avoid it. I know it's just a silly thing, but I really get weirded out going through customs. I don't smuggle anything, nothing illegal, and I don't lie to them, but the way I act you'd think I was guilty of something. One time when I was travelling to Schroon Lake, NY (upper NY) we went the U.S. route even though it took three extra hours. We did go through customs on our way home from our Honeymoon in Niagara Falls (Canadian side) four years ago, so I CAN do it, I just prefer not to. My husband ended up going to a blessing of the bikes in Hell, MI so he could get a sticker that says "Blessed in Hell" (MI). He rode alone and it was real far just for that, and he said he would not do it again. He took back roads as he does not enjoy the Interstates on the bike. Anyway, too bad I'd have to cross customs or else I'd be there in a heartbeat. :cool:

What Church in Sarnia Ryan?

Patty, once you get one or two under your belt, it gets easier. :) You're missing out on some pretty cool places.

don't know about Sarnia...BUT,

there will be TENS of THOUSANDS of bikers at Port Dover,Ontario's Friday 13th love-n, as is "traditional" for this area!!
Bikers from as far as Utah, California, Washington State, and the Dakota's are there REGULARLY for every Friday the 13th, along with many THOUSANDS from ALL parts of Canada.
 
My brother goes to Port Dover... he always has a great time. All kinds of bikes/ers from all walks of life. :)
