Can someone please explain to me why I'm suddenly seeing the word "bokay" everywhere? I thought it was "bouquet". Has "bokay" been around a long time, or is it a new word? I frankly prefer "bouquet", but that's just me.

Beth :~)

No it's not just you! I really don't like that kind of thing. So for me it's bouquet... period!

Kountry Kennels and all like basterdizations of language and spelling are like fingernails on a blackboard to me.

Seems to me there is a group of people out there who want to change English to phonetic spelling or some such thing. Yu no, thair goze the nayborehood. ;)

. We also pronounced 'Hurricane' as hur' cun and Tornado and tur neh' duh (two local towns). Note: the store was in West Virginia.

AND YOUR POINT MISSY?????? LOL...You need to make another visit down here and refresh your voh-cab-u-larry! Startin to sound funny when you talk...it must be that Calliforn-ia influence!

I despise those spellings also. Not cute! I once saw a daycare use "skool" in its name. Some of the letters were turned backswards also. Big turnoff for me.

Is it any wonder there are so many people in NA who are functionally illiterate?

Bokay

I agree with spelling words the right way. However, I will admit to having my liscense plate say : BOKAY 4U Since we could only use 8 letters, I took that liberty. It sure did get me lots of comments and several orders. I don't think BOUQUET 4U would have gotten the same response. Whenever I got out of my car, almost always someone would ask me if I was a florist and then we would go from there and end up getting a new account.
