Botany of Desire

My wife and I watched it and We both thought it was great. I learned a lot of history and the tulip segment was a great insight to the bulb culture. He even made the potatoe an interesting subject.

I watched it the other night.
I read the book last year.
Good stuff.

ah yes, Amy Stewart and her "friend" the gardener with the kiosk. I remember reading about her in the book. And yes, it is nice she can do that - grow and sell her organics -
Hmm, scented.... freesia, various bi colored mini carnations (cinnamon and peppermint scents), most lavender roses, most yellow roses, dahlias, zinnias, marigolds, .... I can think of lots of scented flowers - campanula - grape koolaid -
Interesting piece. Our PBS station has not aired it yet and I didn't see it on the list of "to be aired" either. Will have to inquire about it. Thanks!
