Bribery to remove bad review?

I'm of the opinion that the original review should stay with an update posted on any resolution.
Ditto, though they certainly were finding a creative solution!

Sounds to me like if that retailer was going to refund anything, it should have been before the negative review..Even if the negative review prompted the refund, it should not be in lieu of removing it. It happened and the retailer needs to fix it, all retailers need to be aware that anything they may say to a customer could end up in a review..I do agree that a post could be made about the resolution of this issue. It goes a long way in consumers eyes that you own up to any wrong doing on your part...

One bad review really doesn't matter when it comes to NYC camera stores - there are many, many more out there. The bottom of the barrel in the floral industry give a gold-medal customer experience compared to these online thieves in the camera world.

This link is in the article. Will this become the thing to do? Maybe not mainstream, but the threat could be more effective than buying a good review:

I wonder if you could replace the camera stores with florists for this article (Meola types):

What if we had floral consumers like this? He rides his bike around Brooklyn photographing camera store locations and documenting their existence:

What's your take?

I think the review should be under the control of the person posting it. If they want to be bought off, then so be it. I'm sure that there are a couple of fake positive reviews out there, too. Reviews go best with a grain of salt IMO.

I hate to say this, but I have been dealing with a competitor for over a year now doing this to me,as well as another person, it is not a preety thing, but when someone posts something about someone it really needs to be the truth, and do I agree with this issue, if it is causing them issues, then it should come off,, there was another post a few days back about this a few days, it is sad, that this crap happens, sometimes it is very frustrating, when I get a chance later I will post about the issue, I have been dealing with, then you can give me your opion on this one, and tell me what you would do...Hugs to all.
