I have a customer that wants California poppies incorporated in her daughter's bouquet. I told her she could use silk poppies and she was fine that idea. I found out yesterday that her daughter's colors are poppy orange and navy blue. Her daughter is in the service stationed at Biloxi, Mississippi and can't come back to California until her wedding.
Can you help with ideas for the bridal bouquet? I thought about delphiniums for the blue.
Thanks in advance,
Sharon

Are you doing a hand tied bouquet (garden gathered shape) or a foam bouquet? If foam, what shape?

If you are doing hand tied, I think cornflowers might be cute with poppies...they are a similar shape and might make a cute accent. Nigella might look nice too (and is a little stiffer to help support the poppies). Orange hypericum berries would be pretty as a third flower...gardeny and natural like the others.

I would definitely use an armature of some sort to spread out your poppies (and act as an underwire bra for them).

I'm not sure what type of bouquet she wants, we have a meeting tomorrow in the afternoon. She is bringing the silk poppies.
The wedding is in November, 2008, in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
Thanks for the ideas.

California wedding with Denver Broncos colors. Good luck with that one. Sounds gross to me.

dark blue delph
dark blue iris
bachelor buttons
