Has anyone ever made a bouquet in a Tussie Mussie? I have to make 4 next week, and i'm trying to deside the best way to attach foam in the holder so it won't fall out. I'm worried tape might ruin the finish. Does any one know if any glue will work?

I do them all the time.
Remve the stem from the bouquet holder, then simply wire the foam of the bouquet holder to the tussie mussie, by threading tape covered wire thrught the holder to the plastic cage that supports the oasis bokay holder.
If your tussie mussie holder doesn't have any decorative holes, drill a few using a small bit on a power drill.

P1010002.JPGP1010001.JPGOk these aren't the metal tussie mussies but the same principle might work. These are the sisal cones so they might be longer than a regular tussie mussie. What I did with these was carve out some dry foam (for silk flowers) into a cone shape so it fit tightly inside the cone. Then I took a bouquet holder that has the thin straight round handle and poked it into the cone and then took it out again.I put a circle of the white clay glue stuff that comes in roll (sorry I am having a Menopause moment and I forget the name) around the top of the hole I made in the cone.I designed the flowers in the bouquet holder and then glued both the top of the cone and the bottom of the bouquet holder and crammed them together. (It really helps if you have two people for this part). In the one with the pearls I had glued the strings of pearls onto the bottom of the bouquet holder before adding the flowers. After the cone and bouquet holder were glued together I glued a few more rows of pearls to cover the area at the joint. By the time I was finished you could swing the bouquet and it wouldn't come apart.
I'm not sure it this would work with the tussie mussies that have the curved frill at the top. If the bouquet holder is too long you could probably saw some of it off but I think it would probably only work if the top of the tussie mussie is smooth.
I've had an antique silver tussie mussie for years but I've never had an opportunity to use it so it will be interesting to see what you come up with.
