Alright, either I have lost my mind or I am just too durn tired to think. I have to place my order for my bridal shower flowers tomorrow and I am at a loss.

The date of the shower is April 9th and I want to use modern and unique flowers. The colors we are doing are hot pink and lime green. I have the oasis plastic centerpiece bowls in those colors and that is what I will be doing the arrangements in. Gimmie some ideas for greens and flowers please!

Thanks Bunches!!

here goes...

hot pinks: gloriosa lilies, ranunculus, anemones, hot pink spray rose (super nova, my favorite), heather, parrot tulips (rai &.....can't remember the variety) , peonies, gypsy dianthus.

Greens: green cymbidiums, kermit poms, green dendros (burana jade), fuji spider mums, bupleurum, green mini hydrangeas and of course bells of ireland.

GOOD LUCK and have fun!

To add to Parie's list:

Hot pink: Nerine Liliy, Hydrangea
Green: Euphorbia, parrot tulip, Limbo roses and some type of Green Lucadendrom (sp?), like safari sunset, but green.

I would either hide the plastic centerpiece or use a clean lined glass vase. I'm afraid if you use plastic and these flowers, you'll lose the effect.

GL my friend! :)

Call me if you need help getting any of the stuff above.

One of the neatest ideas I've seen in a LOOOOONG time was in a magazine. They made a multi layer cake using coloured oasis (lime green) and used hot pink carns as the filling. I wish I could remember which magazine it was in, but the idea has stuck with me for a long time. It looked very cool, and so different from the usual shower fare.

You guys rock!

Thank you all for the suggestions! I haven't quite nailed down what I am going to use but I am sold on the gypsy dianthus (sooo cute Parie, I have never used it before!) and definately some of the green leucadendron. As for the plastic containers, I had the same thoughts as you Brandon, I am not sure if I want to go that route or not...I just had them laying in storage and they were the perfect color! ;)

V, I saw that same cake somewhere and it was so cute! We are doing a spin off of that by using margarita glasses instead.

Thanks So Much Guys and Gals!!

Those Oasis dishes (wok-shaped) give a clean, vibrant, contemporary look at a reasonable cost. We like 'em, too. High or low.

If you like the gypsy dianthus, try out the Sweet William wich is also a dianthus.

The gypsy dianthus we got in this week was more purple than hot pink. Be sure you get your right shade. :)

Instead of plastic, we use more of a natural recyclable vessel made by http://westernpulp.com/webpages/recreations.html

YEAH Brandon! I had completely forgotten about those bowls!! I have two cases of the things out back, in green!! I use them all the time for funeral work and didn't even think of using the longer ones for the centerpieces. I love those things!!

I may still do a couple crazy tropical ones in the hot pink bowls to place on the food table and then do the rest of the centerpieces in the recreations containers.

Thanks Bunches!!
