I am just getting started in the floral industry and have not yet set up a website. Right now I am working out of my house but I will be opening my shop in October. I have had 1 year of floral education at the community college and have attended various workshops. Another florist referred me to this site as a business aid. She said it was a wonderful way to learn about all aspects of the flower business. Right now I am so 'green' that I can't imagine contributing much to the community, but hopefully in time that will change.

What exactly did you take for courses at the Community College? Will your shop be in a business district, store front? Thanks for answering to help with your member approval.

Hi Rhonda,

I took floral design and advanced floral design for college credit at our local community college. My daughter, and partner, took 1 session (16 classes) at the Milwaukee school of floral design. My shop will be located in a downtown business area.
