It has never really dawned on me before but I just realised that one of the perks of this job is .... wait for it ..... Cake.

One of last weeks Brides sent me two big chunks of Her Wedding cake as a thank you gift and while I am in the middle of doing one of this weeks Weddings had to have a bit as a pick me up... So it dawned on me....I'm eating a piece of cake from last weeks Wedding while making this weeks Wedding in the hope I will get more cake.;)

I'm a prostitute for cake .... and I just realised it....lol

Mmm - cake....

Ok back to work - sorry just had to share.......:tongue:

I love cake......especially really good wedding cake form Kondeitor Meister here in MA.
 
sorry, we're cake snobs. Better taste as good as it looks. Many times it hasn't.

Hey Karla, I've had fruitcake wedding cake made by an Aussie baker (fruitcake is traditional wedding cake in Australia - is that still true?) that was to die for....
NO, Not the BRICK kind we get at Christmas :) :)

I just bought fresh michigan peaches to make a peach pie for my birthday "cake"

Pie - better than cake :)

My son prefers cheesecake does that count??
 
Hey when i need a kick, a cup of sugar would do. I love cake, chocolates, kiddies sweeties, i think i may have a problem lol thank goodness my sweet tooth is not what it used to be....

Fruit cake is a traditional wedding cake however most are now opting for mud....

It was my birthday wednesday... So gonna go eat more cake while I finish up my ugly ass wedding that I'm doing now.

yeah the silly old fruit cake has been around since the dinosaurs....really needs to be updated cuz it tastes like CRAP!:rofl:

LOVE Fruit cake too... except, yea the Icing does taste like crap - I have to agre with you there.....

That sounds gross...... and I thought I had it bad.. both Weddings I am doing this weekend are Red and White - I hate Red and white.. ugghhh

Love cake. Love July, 3 birthdays = 3 cakes.

My friend Judy makes great wedding cakes - they are layers of infused flavors, that touch every sense in your mouth.

My wedding this weekend is Peach-Pink, Black and white - I was told to wrap all the boquets is black. Just roses - Brides bouquet roses and Brown cyms. I am using Geneve rose by Eufloria. Hope she likes, they are turning out pretty.

ANY KIND OF CAKE WILL DO, SWEETS, do we have some?? 3 more corsges to go!!!
 
That's not fair, we never get cake, we're usually in and out before the bride even gets there much less cuts the cake.

Last job I had there was a REALLY good bakery next door, not good for the ol' waistline.

Does anyone else have cupcake wars going on in their town? All of these hip new bakeries keep popping up in Pittsburgh and the challenge is to create the best cupcake.
