I just joined teleflora. This is my first month. i have recieved about 10 orders over dove. yesterday i got a phone call from pink Blossom out of B.C. She gave me an order and then called me back 5 min later to give me 2 more. one was to far so i didn't take it. The first order was sent from a guy stationed in afganastan. to his wife in bartlett il. Why would he call a florist in canada??? So i thought i better make sure they where with teleflora. i called and telaflora said it was ok. I called the phone number the lady gave me and i got a message that said they were The pink lotus florist. Found there website and everything on it was ftd. So whats that about?????

third box down. Pink Lotus considered deceptive

you can get educated at floristdective.com and find out who you may or may not choose to accept orders from. Most of them belong to the big 2.

Remember your name is associated with the product delivered, not the order gather who may withhold up to 32% of the money spent, making you look cheap.

Not just an OG, a real dOG.

BBB F rating
175 reviews with a 1 star rating

Mostly uses Adwords with ads to make them look like they're a real local shop in your town.

IIRC Pink Lotus is the FTD version of their site. The also ran a site using TF products but I can't recall the name ATM.

I also recall them charging each shopper a 5% 'tax' line item - but they don't have to pay sales tax on products wired to the US (just on the service charge) so the 'tax' goes in their pocket.

Tina, generally the first 2-3 months with TF you will only get orders from OG's, reason being is you are not yet in a book for anyone to find you...TF gets these companies your info through computer and they flood you with orders so that you stay opted in for the next segment of pay period...otherwise many florists would drop because they cannot be found for orders by real florists...just some helpful info, also florists 2 florist orders are dropping like a rock, unless you are in a major metro area or there are lots of hospitals, funeral homes that make your city a destination for deliveries....

Tina,

To answer your question.....yes, order gatherer's CAN be part of Teleflora if you are referring to them being members the same way you are. ALL of them belong to most if not all of the big three wire services, this is how they get their orders filled. If they did not belong to a wire service, they would have no way to get their gathered orders filled.

If you have questions about other order gatherers, there is a list as indicated in Kristine's reply. Go to that and bookmark it so you can look for them before you fill. As Lori said, you will get a ton of those orders.

You're in it now, kiddo. Too bad.

FTD recently sent out a message saying not to take orders from these guys. I guess Teleflora is still ok. Tina, although I take quite a few incoming orders, I would not take orders from this company based on their business practices.

That is correct, and Teleflora needs to get this VERY deceptive company off their list as well.....I sent a picture of the house they operate out of, from Google Maps to FTD's CEO.
Like was earlier said "run, away, fast as you can!!"

They won't.... a friend of mine, that has worked for FTD OR TF off and on for some time was canned because we were asking too many direct questions, and had too much proof... Heck, even Vancouver is still pumping orders into TF... remember, it is all about order volume. They do not care where or how they originate.

I just remembered the name of Pink Lotus' TF 'division'. It was e-florist-inc. The site is no longer live on the web but the complaint pages are still showing. There's also a good bit written about them here at FC if you do a search.

They used to send their orders out through TF under the name 'International Florist'. When we were TF members, they'd try and send to us - and every time I checked, they had skimmed - or were seriously underpriced for the product they requested. We refused everything from them.
