Welcome to the Web of Fleurop-Interflora Spain, an organization, whom from its birth to the present time, is dedicated to the transmission of good desires and/or good feelings using like way the flowers. The idea of sending flowers from a city to another one was born in the United States in 1892, J.A. Valentine takes responsibility to develop the project that it was in his mind several years ago.
This man was the pioneer in the concept of floral transmission, settling down a foundation that guaranteed the service and its good operation, being implanted in 1910. The name which their founders decided to give to that first organization was: Florist´s Telegraph Delivery Asociation (F.T.D.), abbreviations that still today last.
In 1908, the Berliner Max Hübern stablished in Germany the first sources to create a service of similar characteristics, giving rise to the birth of Fleurop.
Comparably, the British florists found on 1,924 their own association to be able to make deliveries between the countries of their field of influence. Thus the British Unit was born.
Finally in 1946 the association of the three great groups took place, the European, the American and the British, under the common denomination of " INTERFLORA ", that at the present time includes more than 70,000 florists in 150 countries of the five Continents.
With regards to Spain, in 1927 first florists’ are united to this organization individually, and later in 1951 INTERFLORA Spain is constituted officially.
The INTERFLORA emblem is Mercury, God of the commerce of the old Romans and old Herald of the Greek Gods, carrying a branch of flowers like symbol of the service that lend its florists associates, and its slogan world-wide of the organization is the famous " Say it with flowers ".
Fleurop had difficult beginnings, threatening even its survival. The worsened economic crisis and the political events produce a great instability. In 1936, the directive committee transfers its Headquarters from Berlin to Zurich.
With INTERFLORA, it was also born, in that constituent assembly of 1946, the " Fleurin ", like own currency of the organization, whose value would be the one of a Swiss Franc, until nowadays. The decision to compare it to the Swiss Franc was logical due to the times that passed. Switzerland, a neutral country where capitals were accumulated, was the Nation that offered a more stable and strong change with respect to the rest of the currencies of the world.
By the way Fleurin is a fictitious currency to make international transactions are made, not existing like paper one.
The fact that Interflora is present anywhere in the world, can induce to think that it is a multinational, with shops in franchise, but nothing else far from the reality: The true definition of INTERFLORA is a macro-federation formed by three important enterprise groups with different juridical forms: F.T.D., FLEUROP and BRITSH UNIT.
Every one enjoys its own autonomy. As well, every national section owns its resources self-management and its juridical form. Interflora Spain is an economic clearing house, that was born in year 1,951 with the idea to manage the delivery of flowers and plants between final clients. Therefore, Interflora Business, aren’t in cultivating floral species. It is the transmission channel that customers use to send their order to wanted recipients. Interflora is then, as I like to comment, from a sentimental vision of the business, the gear that makes possible the transmission and its fulfilment of our good feelings, dreams and/or desires using for the flowers.

The old chart I have is the same as Audra reported. Like I posted above fleurin is based loosely on the Swiss frank.
My chart says $210.00 cdn.....but maybe they changed that too in August as they changed the U.S. exchange rate down to 35%.....I'd check with FTD to be sure.....also don't foget to take out the G.S.T. before you fill the order.
