Got a call today from the guy in charge of smoothing things over with the mailing of the selection guide. He offered to send me $100 in bloomnet merchandise to help ease the cost of the book that I would be receiving again. I told him of my frustrations with the company & how I would follow my convictions and stick with my decision to opt out of Bloomnet. He told me I would still be billed for the book no matter what (not sure I would even get it sent back to me) and that he really wanted to help me out. I sent my termination letter the beginning of June and this is the first I've heard from anyone from Bloomnet period. I think I'll just take my chances fighting these charges when they show up on my statement. And that's a whole other story....has anyone else gotten a statement dated the 15th of the month and received it on the 20th or 25th or 30th with the due date being th 25th??? This has happened repeatedly and I can't seem to get through to anyone or get anyone to return my calls. My most current statement shows charges for listings in 2 other towns that I do not list in, and of course, a late fee since (obviously) they didn't get my payment on time because I didn't even get the statement yet. And furthermore....the payments that I have made don't even show up until much later. Can anyone sympathize with me? I am so frustrated! I need some wise advise from those of you full of wisdom :).

I do not believe you can opt out of anyone's selection guides. May's statement recieved in June was the first one in over a year that has been a bit late. I have never had this happen before. I would definately fight the late charges for the late statement. The book I think you will lose on. It does suck that they never even told us about the guide before sending it so you could opt out if you wanted to before receiving it. I do also understand your frustration and sympathize with you. The 100.00 a month is just what we all need over the summer months when it is hard enough just to pay the regular bills.

please excuse my ignorance here, but why must you accept the selection guide? Have you got a contract stating that you will or something? If not there is now way you should have to accept their selection guide as you have resigned!? Would you do this to one of your weekly corporate customers if they had 'fired' you? (Keep sending arrangements and expect them to pay you for them). I don't think so!:hammer:

Good Luck

I got a call from an area rep today checking to see if I had the guide in shop, he said my accout was showing that mine had been refused and that they were preparing to ship another! apparently they have not been able to keep track of the number they received back.
They sure are feeling like the FTD and TF folks that I promised myself to avoid.

Sad but true... I'm on my way out this door as well as the FTD door... sorry if I got anyone involved....

Mark?

Bloomnet Statements

My friend and I have both been getting our statements on or after the 25th for several months now. We can't get the issue resolved either, we keep talking to people who say they will take care of it but it doesn't get resolved. We are both ready to quit. "someone" from the credit department is supposed to call me before the end of the week, if not, I'm supposed to call them back! So very frustrating!

Fighting the selection guide is a lost cause with any wire service.

You can get your statement most months at bloomlink.net on the 15th.

We had major billing problems with them recently as well but it was our fault and they handled it to our satisfaction when they really did not have to.

All the wire services are a necessary evil for us.

bye,
kirk

I can totally understand your frustration!! In general I was new in the business and was sucked in by the hype how they could help my business blah..blah...blah. When they are called about errors made, the customer service person appears genuine, yet they do not usually have a clue as to what to do to resolve the issue promptly. I had to go to the BBB and file a compliant because I was not getting anywhere with the rep, calls ,claims etc.....
Hang in there !
I only use FSN for sending flowers and I must say I am much happier. I dont have to spend hours and set aside days to baby sit the account with Bloomnet.

I would hope in due time means soon.........
FTD gone at the end of this month, trial by fire with TF until October.....
but sorry to say, I don't have the technology I'm assuming you will be utilizing. :(

ALL THAT ADVISE EVERYONE OFFERED
Who would that advice have come from Mike?

Welcome to FlowerChat by the way... I suppose you already found out, we're not too keen on wire services around here. For some of us, having one is a necessary evil...for now...

But like I always say...times...they be a chang'n....again!
