Prime Minister Paul Martin shopped for a wreath with his wife Sheila on Sunday

Martin shook hands with two young families outside Tivoli Florist — but did not kiss their babies — before quickly picking out a wreath for the family farm.

Asked if it was a holiday wreath or a Christmas wreath, Martin laughed and said: "It's a $240 wreath."

Don't know anything about his politics but I like his budget.

a colour photo of the PM, his wife and the WREATH was the front page of the Saint John Telegraph Journal (our biggest provincial paper) yesterday. The best part was not only that you could see the wreath but they mentioned that they had gotten it at a "florist" shop.

Might have been better......

IF he and his wife had bought that wreath at a shop in Minto, or Chipman or even in Sussex!! I even know of a retired Danish wreath maker that lives just down the road from that nasty power plant, near SunnySide Beach on Grand Lake!!
