Canadian Trivia - Fuddle Duddle !

Fuddle Duddle!
Some of the older Canadian members (like Mikey, ) will probably remember these famous words from Pierre Turdeau about 35 years ago.

Apparently the PC MP's would be on Trudeau's back (like they would!) in Ottawa and one particular member really got to him one day and Trudeau swore at him in the house. After leaving the house, the press accosted Trudeau and he said he didn't swear but said "Fuddle Duddle"!

Well, that PC member was John Lundrigan of Upper island Cove, Newfoundland. Unfortunately John died Thursday at age 70 and is being buried tomorrow, Sunday. RIP

Thanks for the memory Hugh. Fuddle Duddle is a great phrase. But then I liked P.E.T. too.

I'm sorry for the loss of Mr. Lundrigan... such a colourful era.
