Anyone know the legitimate protocol? I talked to someone at member services yesterday. She said send it via merc, no need to mail anything in, but I asked her to send me an email with that info in writing. Still haven't got it

yes you can email it in. you must make the cut off date they list in the directory to be out of the next directory BUT you can shut off your merc/dove and stop taking orders from them as soon as you send the letter.
I did mine by email in jan it took many a phone call before they admitted they had it. and then a letter in april telling me I am not allowed to use the FTD logos anymore.

the protocol is listed in the directory you just have to flip thru it to find it.

Will you then be wire free?
I have FSN to send overseas and Iris for here local to Canada but I don't think I will be continueing with Iris as I can make credit card calls to place the orders in Canada and do for most of them anyway!

i still have TF until i get my independent website ironed out, but i don't do much work for them

In writing to FTD Membership Services, 3113 Woodcreek Rd, Downers Grove, MI 60515 BEFORE Jun 21 (cut off for Sept - Dec Directory)
Send it Certified, Receipt Return...........
In your "letter of voluntary termination" state your intentions and reasons for termination and stating after such and such a date, no orders will be sent nor received for delivery through your mercury system nor by phone. (such as one week after you send the notice or a date you choose such as Jun 30)
After your receipt is returned, again send a merc message both to member services and your rep with the same notice...
Your job is done then with paperwork, copies, and acceptance at headquarters to prove your intent and dates of voluntary termination.
Good Luck !

Hey Jamie, congrats! I see you're "one of the pros" now too ~ glad to see that. Now I can enjoy your sense of humor in all the threads! :)

One thing nobody mentioned, make sure you do these, they like to play games to hook you into another 6 months, so get that letter out right away and then don't accept any orders after your cancel date. (The og's pay no attention, and you don't get taken out of the directory so it's very possible to get an order.)

Yep and when shops call politely explain you are no longer a member but you would gladly take a credit card over the phone. That has gotten us more then one order because they were tired of calling shops :) Just a plus of not being a member, actually getting paid upfront for your hard work. Good for you by the way! Enjoy your freedom!
