Even in this down economy, i cannot tell you how much relief i feel knowing i will not be carrying all they b/s containers and listening to their ignorant, imbecile reps....im exstatic....seriously....

Ive evolved....at one point not so long ago, i was a heavy sending shop....ive completely changed my outlook and the way i do business. Ive learned that you cannot count on most shops to fill your orders correctly and to value....so really it isnt worth the headaches and aggravation. Ive concentrated on my own market and have made a conscious effort to build a strong name for myself...even after 16 1/2 yrs in my city....

As far as the wire services....i am so happy not to have to make those pitiful sorry ass arrangements that look like $hit...when you accept their work, you're going to be known for those arrangements....im sick and tired of them to be honest.....

for those of you that still market out of state.....i dont hold any grudges....maybe you can deal with the headaches...i cant anymore...i want to be top 100 by obtaining my own customers and sending...not advertising in others markets....as an industry we are all divided and being a heavy sender just doesnt work anymore....too many shops that pick and choose what they want to do....makes me wonder why bother paying to be a member when you reject every order...

Since part of your complaint is that too many shops pick and choose the orders they want to fill, how are you handling your future outgoing orders?

are you goig to direct them to another flower shop in your area?

or....

are you using some other source or just dialing direct?

well, my sending is down sustantially from a year ago....we would send 200-300 per month non holiday and close to 400 for holidays...

Now, with ftd's new rules about rejecting and so forth, we send to the better shops we've dealt with in the past, just not as many..

Also, we do not send orders we wouldnt do ourselves....we know what to sell and what not to sell...
