Please excuse this incredibly dumb question of the night but I getting an unusual panic attack...

I have a wedding tomorrow with several 16" x 5" glass cylinders filled with water and 3" floating candles. I never do water and candles and therefore really know very little about its execution. And, I've been too darn busy with my floral weddings to test out the cylinder.
Therefore, I simply pour in the water, add the candle and light the wick and it will all be ok, right? Glass won't crack, candle won't extinguish, nothing unexpected will happen 4 hours into the dinner hour? And, how long will a 3" floating candle burn?

I'm so embarrassed about this question I'm going to go to bed and hope that someone answers by Sunday morning.

Thanks in advance.:redface2:

as long as the cylinders are the thicker variety (not dollar tree thin) and floating candles are quality, shouldn't be a problem. Not sure on the burn time but I would imagine 4 hours shouldn't be a problem.

Just light it and it will be fine. Make sure the water level is high so the soot does not get the cylinder black. They burn a long time. Probably last the whole reception, but you might want the venue to light them just before guests arrive or at dinner time.

yup I was gonna say- DON'T LET THE WICK GET WET! gently pull the wicks upright and gently place them in the cylindars. I have used dollar tree cylindars- never had a problem.
