My Great Aunt passed away yesterday at the age of 97. I would like to get creative with her funeral piece. She was a candy lover, so I was thinking of candy in its wrapper. I was wondering how to make the ends of the candy. The candy I am talking about is the hard candy that you twist the paper off. What ribbon could I use, sorry brains not working the best. Thanks!

I'm sure it will be reflective of the life your great aunt had. I too would love to see pictures.

Don't know if you'd want the shiny surface but colored foil would work as well.
Emily

Oasis is showing all kinds of shiny surface wire, beads etc in thier sympathy work..It actually looks nice...(spoken like a true Bostonian of Italian Descent, I once had an employer tell me I sparkled things up in true Guiney fashion)

I am sure that any Candy lover was also a follower of the ideal of forever young and anything shiney will be very appropriate for your Aunt's final send off, especially hand made by you, That is all that really matters...I am sorry for your loss...

You can always wrap a piece of stryo in colored foil and then in colored cello with the ends twisted as mentioned above.

I have to tell you though....when I first read your post I thought of the candy wreaths we use to make as kids and tied hard candys onto a wire hanger that had been rounded out. We used curling ribbon to tie them on. Also tied a pair of school scissors to it so you could cut the candy off to eat. You could have one of those at the reception for everyone to enjoy and carry the theme on... or not!~
