Would you or have you ever put cash in a card for a wire in order? We just got a request for a $40.00 order with $200.00 in the card, asked how we were getting paid for the cash and was told to submit a $240.00 claim for the order. Not bloody likely would I lose 27% on putting cash out for someone else's customer and to top it off it was from a Hallmark store. Just wondering if anyone else on the board would have taken this order.

Not a chance! Then on top of that having to wait for as much as 7 weeks to get your money back (depending on what day of the month the order was placed) not to mention, how would you get that gaurenteed if the customer complained/refused/wanted a refund etc? Nope, not here.

Not a chance in Hades...

Another thought, this just goes to show you that some florists have no idea how the whole wire service percentage thing works.
That shop probably thinks they get 100% of every order that comes in.....

Got the order anyway for just flowers .

Look at it in their eyes..........I'd love to send out lots of orders like that if I could only find some dumb florists to fill them!!!

$240.00 order @ 20% commission plus my normal $5.95 relay charge plus a wire service rebate of $4.50 = $58.45 for a few minutes of work!!!

But I sure as H*ll wouldn't fill it!!!

$240.00 less 27% = $175.20 and then I'd have to add some flowers and deliver it, and likely pay the FTO charges as well......WOW, can't think of a faster way to go T*ts up!!!!

Ditto everyone - not a chance in hell.

What happens if the card gets "lost" along the way?

Satan would be skating to work first. It's a nice theory but it just loses it on the practical application part.
