Hey guys,

Well, I'm not new here, but I can't get into my old account. Email address associated with it is long gone, etc etc.

You might remember me as WinkDesign. I was a freelance Floral Event designer, before a random series of events landed me in a cake design career! I did do floral alongside cake, until the cakes just got too popular to handle it.

I've been meaning to check in and say hi for the longest time, but today I received an email that there was a post about the article I wrote for Flowers & magazine's October issue! While I'm no longer actually working with flowers directly, I do hope to continue writing articles on the same vein - advice on working with cake designers, incorporating fresh florals into even high end fondant cake designs, etc.

Yes I had training in floral design, 12 years ago or so.

Looking to network and keep up on the latest trends, etc... especially as it could possibly relate to cake. Love working together with florists for cake design, can contribute ideas and resources to the same.

Everyone else, thanks for posting! I'm surprised anyone remembers me, it's been soooo long, and I wasn't a really prolific poster as it was!
