I just joined Flower Chat

Greetings,

I just joined Flower Chat. I was giving an FTD sponsored program at the New Mexico State Florists Assoc. Convention last weekend. A florist there, Shannon, suggested that I join and get involved. So here I am.

I have a floral design school in West Palm Beach, FL, So. Fl. Center for Floral Studies. I am a member of AAF, AIFD and PFCI. We just had the Society of American Florists here 2 weeks ago at the Breakers Resort in Palm Beach.

In addtion to teaching classes for professionals here at the school I have also written a book for garden club members and hobbyists called The Frugal Florist. I give numerous lectures locally and out of state for garden club and newcomer groups. I also teach a night class through the Adult Education Program at our community school.

I feel very connected to the floral industry. I missed AIFD National Symposium this year because I was at the Superfloral Show in Orlando promoting The Frugal Florist concept to the mass-market.

It may be too late but I will keep this short, not to wear out my welcome. I look forward to chatting with all of you.
