I thought the moon was white.

I'm picturing the containers being a crescent shape....glass...low and inside filled with "diamonds".

When is the event (fall, spring).

I think of whites and blues too..sparkly almost irreidescent blue (blue lace flower, Volkenfrieden delphinium, blue thistle) and silvery accents, like dusty miller, seeded euc. sterling range...white casablanca lilies would give you a star vibe too. Just a thought

You could use sparkly metallic (obviously artificial) fillers that look diamondish.

Theres lots of them out there. We had these oversized metallic alliums that were full round (moon shaped.) They would make unbelieveable centerpieces.

I like aileen's crescent shaped container idea... You could get different sized ones and go in a "moon phases" direction. Mix white and yellow artificial candles inside the container to give the look of different "moon glows" according to the phases...

You could sprinkle the artificial diamonds on the table around the centerpiece... They come in different sizes, you could use the smaller ones inside the container, and the larger ones on the table outside the container, or vice versa.

Or go all black and call it an eclipse. :)
