check your phone bills every month

Opened my phone bill this month $250...I say what the hay?.....started looking at it and there were charges for web hosting,and directory listing on the internet.Called these compainies and they said that I authorized a switch to their company....?????uh...no I didn't......then called the At&t to complain that they let these scuzballs bill on their bill. Turns out my contract with at&t(didn't know I had a contract)for my long distance had expired....anyway long story short ,the lady at at&t re-adjusted my bill I now owe only $99.50

At least once a year we get some ATT affiliate adding charges to our bill. The last time was $29.95 for some answering service. We got it reversed but it's still a scam and ATT shouldn't allow it.

If your contract with ATT is over, switch to a different phone service provider. We have Intergra Telecom and so far, no issues. ATT (in my opinion) is not a good company.

We get calls from an AT&T affliate all the time stating they are updating their files and need to confirm our address and such. I always say I'm not at liberty to give that information out over the phone. This is a scam and if you confirm the info, they will do what they did to you and say you agreed to it.

it's still a scam and ATT shouldn't allow it.

They won't, but it requires action on your part. All you have to do is password your AT&T account and then no changes can be made... none.

I had a stand alone voice mail with an 800 number show up on my bill...account opened over the internet with my store number (anyone can do this).... not any more!

I have Verizon and saw that my bill was a little high- called them about it and had my per minute cost lowered by half!
no extra plan to sign up for- just lowered! I asked why, wasn't it this price all along? she says.. oh we don't automatically adjust the cost- the customer has to call. ....sooo.... if you haven't called in a while....
