Firstly forgive my tardiness in keeping in touch ... absolutely nothing against you all, just a shed load of stuff going on over here which means I have to focus big time on things this side of the pond.

However I've just done the first of our Clesea Flower Show picture albums and thought some of you might be interested. These are the contestants competing for the title RHS Chelsea Florist of the Year. The brief was to create (from scratch) a parasol using only fresh material and it had to be carry-able!!!

I don't know the winner - that doesn't get announced till tomorrow our time but will let you know ASAP. There's loads more to come and we'll be uploading to www.fandwb.com as soon as possible.

In the meantime enjoy this one - and yes the music is a bit tounge in cheek!

Carrie thank you for sharing. Beautiful work! Great idea to create parasols.
As for the music it really put a smile on my face. 40 years ago June 6th, we were married in a downpour. The priest came in the reception singing Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head. That song always brings back that memory.
 
I love Sarah Hornes, i have seen her in the mag i think and have definately heard of her.

I think sometimes though these floristry competitions are not what you know but who you know, i find it unbelievable that the same people win all the time. I dont think the names should be on the design,.... actually are they on the design?? I think it should be annonymous.

Very inspiring work though and i could so not enter comps, not enough confidence or ability. I also seen per benjamin do something like this and he used tons of ribbons which does not sound nice but looked absolutely fabulous.
