The Sea Holly in that compact design is so much fun and sells out fast! The farm I get that from has bred out the painful thorns, so it is soft to the touch.

Yeah!! Congrats B!! Great pics too! Hey, since you didn't answer my post about wrapping posies I will assume you didn't see it. Gimmie some instructions on how you wrap them, puhleaze!

Heather I never saw that you asked; sorry about that. I thought I called you like 8 months ago to explain it. Maybe that was bitty, I get you two mixed up :) . I'd call you right now, but my phone just ran out of batteries when I was talking to Allie up in Edmonton. :) So many nice people on this forum, so little time to talk to you all.

I'm not sure how to explain how we do it, but the flowers never touch the counter or held by anything other than your hand.

We use sisal twine to wrap the bouquets. A roll is like $12. And people seem to like the natural look.

We use butcher paper. We get the white stuff at Costco (which has a slight wax feel on the inside) And the brown stuff we get from a resuraunt wholesale biz. Customers seem to like the natural look over the celophane look. It's just a different look we stole from a flower shop in England and places us one more notch away from the grocery store look.

And we use our John Henry Sticker seal to hold it together even better and give it a nice look. And as you can see, we sometimes put some colorful tissue paper in there too.

The trick to these are... once you have made the hand tied bouquet, placing the paper on to of the flowers switching hands from the flower holding hand to the paper around the flowers hand, clinching the bottom of the paper, forming a neck, just below the blossoms. Now if you can understand what I just said, you're a genius, because I did a poor job at explaining. :)

Brandon, all the flowers are lovely, as is the shop... however, lovlier by a large country mile is your gorgeous wee girl. She's a show stopper. :)

Congratulations on the impending arrival of "2.0" in August... I'm very happy for you and your family.

Thank you very much for calling me today, I figured that you hadn't seen the original post. I knew that you did them this way so I was hoping for a response. I tried it with your instructions and guess what....it worked!! I had all the right materials...just not the technique :)

lol Bitty. I think about what I am going to say to those high school horn doggies when the time comes. One thing I came up with was.... if you hurt my little girl, I come kick your ___ and then go over to your house and kick your father's ___. I'm getting crazy thoughts Bitty..crazzzzy.
