I am going to try and go. I foolishly booked 3 weddings that weekend. Does anyone know if you can pay for (and attend) individual days?

yes,but if you want to attend more than one ,you are better off buying the whole package.

As much as I would love to be there and watch a good friend of mine be inducted.....and to personally share in the celebration of an outstanding achievement well deserved and coming after 4 tries.......Regretfully, personal circumstances prevent me from attending this time.......however, should the attorneys with the accident get matters resoved in a timely manner, I am hoping to offset not attending AIFD by attending the World Flower Council summit in Macau, China. From what Jun tells me, that is also 20 points toward CEU's

I have had a dear friend of mine (Carol Bice, you know her and roomed with her in past AIFD symposiums) has asked me in the past to go with her....

but I have a wedding on 04-July-08. and


I am still trying to figure out a way to get out of the shop during Short Course. so if there are any Buckeyes out there going to that event let me know.

Joe, I',m thinking you must be talking about Bobbi Ecker. If so, I didn't realize we had this mutual friend. She is absolutely the best and is presenting one of the programs on Saturday.

Why don't you come up for a few of the shows on the days you can make it.? I know Bobbi would want to take us out to eat in her city.

Pick Me, Pick Me!!

I will be attending and bringing my new daughter- in -law who is an AMAZING young designer with talent I can hardly wait to expose to Symposium. She is from Nikiski, Alaska and a delight to design with!

After Symposium I am going to England with Bob Gordon on a short garden tour. I have a friend who is going to watch the design table for me. It is a rare treat to have someone cover for you. She lives in Talkeetna, Alaska and used to be a wedding coordinator for Podesta's in San Francisco. We have quite the talent hiding up here.

I am so bummed I don't get to go. I've never been, but next year come hell or high water, I'm there and I'm testing. period. If I have to WALK, I'm going. If I have to swim through sharks, I'm going, if I have to.....well you get it.

Carol,
"Babylon" is a man, tall and very good looking. He's covered in tattoos and piercings, and is just as sweet as can be.

I'll be there on the 30th. Bringing one of my shop designers who is doing her AES.
I plan on showing Arthur around.
And yes, you can't miss him - he's as colorful as his flower models.

This is my first year to sit on the South Central Board.
Also on student competition committee. If any of you get there by the second and want to help process flowers........ Just let me know.

As always, this years Symposium is jammed packed with programs and events, but I think it would be a great idea if we could somehow round up all of us who will be there for a quick cocktail and meet and greet. I am arriving on the 3rd, bunking up with Carol and really looking forward to all of the programs and the re-energizing I get everytime I attend. There are so many opportunities to learn and enhance your own design skills that I never think of it as an expense or a vacation, but rather an investment and definately a working experience. If you have never attended, please consider saving and setting aside the funds for future Symposiums. It is not inexpensive but my ROI has always been 10 fold! Live, love, learn, laugh and listen, in any order or degree that suits your life.
