I am looking to add a chuppah to my rental collection. I am interested in possibly doing this with metal poles. Has anyone ever done this before? If so how did it come out? Any tips before I make one?

I built one out of PVC 2" pipe. I took 4 poles 7' long and put them into plaster of paris deco urns. At the top I put 2" L pvc brackets and we connect at the event. We then wrap in tule and drape down the poles. We add flowers to the front corners and let it drape also. Total materials under $75. Just a note, don't let it sit out, last time we used it, we left it sitting out back and someone took the 4 poles and urns, left us the rest.

There are many available pre-made gazebos out there that are easy to put together and are beautiful. I saw one yesterday in Home Goods. Decorative Iron, rounded top, 8 pieces, 8x8, under $200. You can make that plus on the 1st rental.
We also made one many years ago, using pvc. It was time consuming putting it up & covering the top. A pre made is much easier. Well worth the time & $$$.

I am assuming from Terri's post that a chuppa is a gazebo??? Would love to see pictures! FC is very educational for me, I am learning all kindsa cool stuff!

That second picture is amazing! Is that a live arrangement? If so wow wow wow! Love it! Hope people post more pictures!

Holy Moly! Well you do amazing work! I am just amazed at the detail in the arrangement! Of course, I look at nothing but roses all the time! Haha! It is nice to see greenery and other flowers in the mix!!!

A Chuppah is a religious structure for Jewish couples, though not only Jewish couples request them. In traditional Jewish weddings, the canopy is always covered to represent the roof over the home. I've had a few Jewish-fusion weddings with an open top though.

I didnt want something that was see through b/c I didnt want anyone the see the poles. Can anyone suggest a place to go..... Thanks!
