Using three different sized clear glass cylinder arrangements for reception ctr pcs, what flowers would you use to compliment a theme of cornflower blue?

I'm afraid to suggest delphinium because so so many times, it drops on me. we have covered the delphinium dropping thread before so lets just forget delphinium.

Any suggestions? It's a May wedding.

Are the 3 size cylinders being grouped together on each table? How about a banded bunch of batchelor buttons in one , a lighter blue hydangea resting on the top of another, and some iris in the third. Or since you just have to compliment, not match cornflower blue, why not go with a totally differant color like yellow, or hot pink? You could use some blue marbles or wire inside . Just a few thoughts off the top of my head.

Spider mums and drop in lemons in one of the vases. Yellow, hot pink gerb's look great with corn blue. Green goes nicely with that color of blue too.
You have an open window of color to use. What type of design are you looking to do?

I am on a friend's computer at the moment and do not have access to my picture files.........but earlier this year, I attended the Georgia State Florist Association Annual convention. The President's ball/Gala was an undersea theme, they used three different sized cylinders on the table........with blue lame runners.......blue tinted water in the vases, and shockingly.......permanent blue glittered botanicals with accents of fresh blue hydrangea, blue glittered shells, and other nautical themed items.

When I get back home, I'll pull and post some of those pictures.......although if you search under my profile for past posts, I seem to recall posting a thread with some of the pictures including the cylinder vase decor.

Ok - I did a search and found the posting......but it did not have the particular image, however, I went to my picasaweb section and found the picture. Because I am on a friend's computer and not my own, I used cut, copy, paste and hope the image comes out right. If it doesn't, then I'll repost when I get home late tommorrow night.

Ricky,

Thanks for searching, the picture came through and it's unbelievable! I would like tulips (wedding is end of May) curved in the vase with something blue, but the white tulips are so small, even van dykes and the end of May is iffy.
I've only used birds of paradise for something like this, because it was what the bride definitely wanted.

Thanks , blue veronica stems with a piece of nikko hydrangea at the base maybe. I'd like to try one of those battery votives under the hydrangea at the base if it stays hidden. Have to try this one out.
