Did anyone else get a call from Teleflora about a co-op ad for coupons for $10 off any TF container arrangement? You had to buy a $129 ad so customers would flock in the door to take advantage of it. I think the coupons would only be good for a month. The guy talked fast and would only give me a few hours to decide, so I declined. It was just an odd phone call.

Nope, they will call you everytime they have a co-op ad.

AND be careful, 'cause once you're in that ad they keep charging you and running every co-op ad after.

I receive this call today.

Teleflora is now going to enforce their long standing, but previously ignored, regulation that declines reimbursement for coupons collected by member shops unless you actually purchase at least one co-op ad for the given holiday.

The reason: Too many shops are taking advantage of the coupons and receiving reimbursement without actually being part of the ad which offered the coupon. According to the Teleflora marketing rep who called, one member shop who purchased multiple print ads complained that his competitors were getting the benefit of his ad dollars. Because of this complaint (and probably others like it), Teleflora has decided to enforce this regulation. Apparently, there were record numbers of coupons turned in for redemption after Christmas.

Yup! They called me late yesterday.

Oh I went on and on about how much I hate their coupons, I think I may have sent the guy on the other end of the line over the edge. But he kept trying.

I had a really bad day yesterday and well .....he took the brunt of it.

It is cheaper for you to accept one of those coupon and even two or three than pay for one of those co-op ads

The last time I got caught up in the co-op ads, the ads were running 119.00 BUT if you forget to cancel the ad they run it again for the next holiday..

I say, don't be a part of the co-op and accept the silly coupon and just don't worry about not getting a redemption... I'd rather have the order.

So here's what we do....skip the coop ad, have Ryan's shop do one coop ad, send all the coupons to him and let him collect for the site...lol

I know, it probably wouldn't work but I give my coupons to a neighboring florist who buys into the stuff and whenever I need a container or something I do not want a case of I trade on my balance.

As a side note...once we bought two cases of ducks from TF...I must have had a brain fart thinking they would sell like hotcakes...did not realize they were packed 48 per case...they sent four instead of two...asked them to pick up two cases, they sent two more....ANYONE who needs ducks, please let me know...quack quack!
