The wife has convinced me AND the kids that we should go to Colonial Williamsburg for vacation. Besides Bush Gardens theme park (the only reason the 2 kids & myself voted yes), what else is there to visit and do?
Well of course there's the actual Colonial Williamsburg area...lots of cool stuff even for kids. http://www.history.org/
We went a few years ago and it was a lot of fun. I am not a history buff by any stretch but it was pretty cool.
My family loved Colonial Williamsburg. I probably enjoyed it the most but then in my next life archaeology will be my career of choice. There is some very cool stuff to explore around the area. We went during Christmas season. The floral decor was amazing and by rules mandated by the powers that be there, all were constructed out of fresh material. There was absolutely no artificial allowed anywhere.
There are so many things to do and see back there. If you belong to AAA,
get one of the free books on Virginia, it covers everything fun to do and see.
