for those of you that are FTD members, pay very close attention to your incoming 800SENDFTD/FTD.com orders as 1800FLWRS is NOW masquerading their orders THROUGH the FTD.com site, and FTD is skimming a minimum of 15% right off the top BEFORE transmitting to you!!
We've now caught another one today (2nd) and have fired off a threat to completely IGNORE anymore incoming from ANY 800SENDFTD/FTD.com incoming!!
I would suggest that ALL of you set "minimum pricing" for incoming from ANY of these sources as we have ($50.00 min's).
ALSO, REFUSE ANY INCOMING from 800SENDFTD/FTD.com by phone, ESPECIALLY IF you've re-negotiated a price change, and they will "approve" the price change, then adjust down on your statement, hoping you'll miss it!!
This is very costly.....we have NOW on the go, an order that was CALLED to us at $34.99, and when challenged, admitted that the "record of price" was $42.49, and the original order was for $48.99!!
I'm on the verge of a major SKIMMING exposure of BOTH of these supposed vendors to REAL FLORISTS, and the total skimmed OFF this particular order was 29.43% of the consumer's order total!!

Jeez...all that overhead and aggravation just to keep a company (FTD) that wants to wipe your business off the face of the earth and rob your customers...

Are you sure those orders were sold by 1800flowers? With the expansion of Bloomnet, 1800 is now permitting some OG's to use their product images. You know FTD transmits some of their affiliate OGs orders through their main code number.

I've seen 1800's products on GiftTree sites and others (can't recall right now and no time to look) so who know where those orders were sold...

Trasnparency of these transactions would stop this kind of stuff from happening...but then that would effect 'profits' of the perps.

when we called in the order number, we were immediately transferred to the 1800 call centre

ESPECIALLY IF you've re-negotiated a price change, and they will "approve" the price change, then adjust down on your statement, hoping you'll miss it!!

Most of the DOG's (Dishonest Order Gatherers) will try this trick...send them an ASK message for more $$ and they reply with and ASK message approving the increase.........Check these replys very carefully because they MUST reply with and ANS message or the price increase will not show up on your statement. FTD has tried this a few times and when I called them they always said it was a mistake!!!!! T&C in Niagara was famous for this last year and claimed there system was approved by FTD and that I was the only one insisting on an ANS message...........Maybe I was the only one up to their tricks?

is that 1800 issues a PO# to FTD.com, and .com in turn, turn's it into a Merc number order, so that it is virtually untraceable, when caught!!

ANd when I can waste my time on gettting the customer at 100% I PONCE ON IT.
In support of all members on flowerchat I do not accept any FTD orders.

I refuse any gathered order , from whomever , I don't give a $#!t what is worth or to whom it is going , from what I know there is only 1 shop left in my area that will entertain filling and only for the orders that they think are worth it. Why waste your time and energy fighting for more money and then having to track every order to see that you didn't get screwed , seems to be a lot of time spend to get less money that what its worth.

is the VERY REASON I do what I do!!
The MORE evidence, the more paper deception, the MORE proof I have, helps me convince more and more shop owners that these "DOGS" need vaccinantions!!
