I just knew the "Passion" was going to bless you.....

About time someone stepped up to the plate and did what THEY WANTED TO DOO!.

$100 Million in 4 days and it's not about Money.....

God Bless You Mel! Very Moving....what a vision to offer in this crazy sick world today.

My opinion...yours counts also without Censorship please.

So it's like way worth seeing then Blue? I want to go to it (and indeed will) but my wife, who is a very strong Christian, says she doesn't want to see it. I *thought* (there he goes thinking again...) if anything it could perhaps strengthen the admiration for what this very special person went thru.

We saw "The Passion of the Christ" movie on Monday. (the theatre let many groups buy all the tickets in one theatre room for a pre-viewing so our church did just that)

After the movie was over we all just sat there in the dark. It took a few minutes before anyone got up as it was numbing. Awesome is an understatement. :sjesus

Knowing it was for ME that He went through all that - well I'm speechless. I always knew He did, but to see what it was most likely like (he did do a lot of research) was even more life changing.

Can anyone say, "I believe"? Oh yeah, Mel did!

As Blue stated - this is just my personal opinion and I have the utmost respect for your view also. Thanks!

Were all special persons if one can keep the faith?

I don't know nor will I tell one what is special to them.

I just know that Mel took his own Money and did something to show many of the nay sayers a thing or two. How strange is it that the "set was struck by lightning twice durning the filming"?????

Just a POWERFUL Movie that is all.. and DVD will bring even MORE viewers of the film.

I haven't seen it yet and will when it comes to town, but a few people I know travelled to Sudbury last week and said it was wonderful and they would see it again.
Some won't see it because they will be scared to be reformed, some will enjoy it to be the truth.
Looking forward ot it,
Luc

I will not go...

Me either, I admire the man's convictions but I'll pass on this film.

From some of the reviews I heard , many people thought that the violence was just too much and that was the whole point projected that no ordinary human could survive such torture. I'll wait til the book comes out. Oops , forgot , already read it.

In my case, it's not a matter of the violence. It's a matter of 'don't need to see it'. I studied history in college, I focused on the middle ages. Trust me, Iron Maiden is more than a rock group and drawn & quartered isn't something you do to an orange.

I know the story, I know the outcome - I'll pass on the visuals. It's just not my thing.

I saw this movie at a private viewing set up by a private school. There were a lot of preteens at the showing. I have never ever sat in a theater with so many kids and not heard a peep thruout the whole movie. It was extrememly moving. Very graphic tho. Although I would not take any young children there myself . Our local church was made available for whoever wanted to go and pray after the viewing. This movie is well worth seeing. I dont think it will be as good on DVD.
