I am looking for tall (36" ~ 42") containers similar to these for a Mother's Day wedding. They can be cones in a wire frame, galvanized or whitewash...she just likes the exaggerated linear look. I am not above painting anything either.

Also, does anyone have any suggestions of something good (not too expensive) to fill them with. She is using all white, but doesn't love the QAL (I think) that they used. I was thinking of using larkspur, alstromeria, white statice and verigated pitt for the greenery. Any price guess for the arrangement alone, I plan to rent her the containers.

Thanks!!!!!!

I saw in one catalog recently those white wicker pedestal baskets that were popular 20+ years ago. I personally think they're ugly, but what do I know? I'm thinking it was Fox River out of Dekalb, IL.

What about clouds of gyp? It would have such a wonderful fragrance. I don't think they would really require any greenery, would they? I do like your choices, though.

Christmas Tree Shop - discount outlet store, lots of old TFTD containers at cheapo prices, some cool accent stuff - it's a fun place to wander. I'm sure they have a website - they're scattered all over.

I suggest gyp too, or hydrangea. Stock? Depending on when the wedding is, shasta daisy too.

have fun!

Darnit, the closest one is in Indianapolis...3.5 hours away. Thom, do they all carry the same stuff? Maybe I should check Hobby Lobby?!?!?

This is what I found at Fox River...do you all think it would be suitable if I painted it? I agree thay are ugly!

Hey I tell you what I like it !! I can see a reuse of them also.

Aldik used to have something just like that-they recently went belly up (or so I heard)-you may be able to find out if they did a close out with anyone....

Amy:
Pat Catan's has these, as does Michaels and JoAnn Fabrics has something similar. I am sure that your Holly Lobby probably does also.

Just for giggles, you might also try a Big Lots, a KMart or a Lowe's. Look in the outdoor stuff. You would be amazed at what you can find there.
