Teleflora has these cool containers that you can fill the outside with candy and the inner part with water for an arrangement...but there's no way I'm paying what TF wants for them.

Anyone see these anywhere else?

Thanx.

Burton and Burton carry them but they are still pricey but I think the shipping is cheaper (well maybe not to Ont.)

Burton +burton carries them, but they do not have a lid to keep people from watering the candy. You have to create your own by using packing tape all around the outside. Kind of complicated but if you plan on readying several, that's the way to do it. Take strips of packing tape across the entire thing, then cut a hole for the middle part and seal it down the inside of the inside vase.

Caution - test the candy in the cooler first. I did these with candy corn several years ago and they started getting gooey and messy, not such a nice gift then.

Tip - You can use ANY containers you want, even use two different size cylinders that allow enough room in between them to fill. Just make sure that you have the inner one as high or slightly higher than the outer.

Just curious on buying the TF ones vs. doing it yourself and the B+B one? Including labor. Sometimes I think we can be on a pricing hunt and then not factor in labr, nullifying any savings. I didn't look up the pricing...just wondering.

We bought the TF containers.
We still have tons of them. Every time we put them in the cooler, nobody picks them up.
Not sure why. Price? Maybe....
I thought it was such a cute gift.
We did some up with red hearts at VDAY. We're still eating red hearts.
We did some up last fall with candy corn. We did some up at xmas with round peppermint candies.
All we've done so far is spend money on candy.

I split a case with another florist and still have them all. I don't know what I was thinking...cute just does not sell here! It was my last act of insanity before I quit TF

Funny story along these lines... My mom went to visit an elderly lady she is friends with. The lady's family had sent her an arrangement in that vase as a gift, filled with Candy Corn (around Halloween). My mom came home and said to me, "That looks so cool, why don't we sell those vases?"

SOOOO.... I guess it is all a matter of taste! In more ways than one!
