Ryan,

I'm a little slow... especially tonight. Is the gift new signage for your business? I saw 2 pics on the blog. Were there more?

I'm off to wrap some Dad's Day goodies.

Cool!
For Father's Day I got a very nice surprise.

Several years ago a Mom (now 85) gave me a wooden lawn chair that she had made 20 years ago since she wasn't able to get out of it anymore without help. It had wide arms - perfect for laying a beer - so I called it my beer chair.

Anyway, a couple years ago, I saw a similar one at Costco (made in Ontario) called a Bear Chair! But I digress. Last week when I was sitting in it I noticed that the leg was almost rotted away so I expressed my intention to buy a new one but hadn't found one yet. Today my 2 sons Jonathan and Richard gave me a new one - they took the old one, took it apart and used the old pieces as a template to cut a new one!!!

How great is that???!!!!!! :)

Rock on..........and Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there...

Hugh

Yes, Beth the signs are the gift. Since moving into the office there has been a sign for a car dealer above the door. The kids and I thought it would be nice for Ryan to have his business name in stead.

Rock, great gift from the boys!!

Happy Father's Day to all our FC Dads!!!

Awesome, wonderful gift!

And the Beer Chair sounds a lot like an Adirondack chair... so comfy!

Yes, Beth, that's the one. We didn't know it as an Adirondack chair but by another name which escapes me now.
Nice and comfortable, I wasn't able to test out it's beer holding capabilities just yet.

Yes, Janis, they surprised me by building it, you never know! I guess you remember Jonathan - he's the older one with the computer shop - 27 now and still home but he and Stacey are building a house. Richard is now 19 and doing engineering.

Rock on..............

Hugh

PS Just remembered, a Muskoka chair...............

These are 2 beautiful stories. Thank you for sharing!
