Cost of Garden Roses

I have a sept wedding requesting peonies. In replacement of those since they are out of season, I suggested garden roses. I have not found garden roses from my local wholesalers for less than $6.00 a blume. 12 stems a bunch, water packed. Anyone have another sources for the garden roses that may run a little cheaper? I think I am going to call transflora tomorrow for pricing. Any suggestion, I would love to hear um! Thanks!

You can get peonies from New Zealand in Sept, also didn't look where you are but I would try flowerbuyer also that of June.com, they can help you..also you can use ranculus as well, it will be fabu to use them as well.

As a substitute for a Garden rose....you can take a regular rose and pull the center petals out and it looks exactly like a garden rose. The stamens are still in tack and it really works.

Just saw this done recently and I loved it! Seems like one of those things that are so obvious that you wonder how you didn't just know it already.
