Wonder if this could be the year when both teams the Cubbies and the Sox both known to have the longest streaks going for never winning the big prize, although the Sox have got to a game 7 in the world series 3 times in my lifetime. Just think how great it would be for one of these sad sack organizations to put all that losing behind them. On second thought , maybe not , just think of how many old time fans might drop dead from the shock!!

;) It might be worth the sacrifice in their minds.

Na.... I don't care about the Marlins, and hate the other 3 teams. Down with the Sox, down with the Cubs.

Then, down with the Yanks.

:)

Don't you have any pity for the Red Sox fans? To lose to the Yankees is one thing, they can always blame the curse of the Bambino!, but to lose to the Cubbies, a team that has not won in almost 100 years, would be the worst thing that could happen!
It would be a good series, though. I think Boston would win.

I agree with you Blue, baseball is boring , 2or 3 innings for me is the greatest cure for insomnia , whats even more boring is the same teams at the top , Yankee's , Brave's , ironically the 2 richest teams , don't mind the Ontario boys , when the Jays were competetive that was all we heard.

Spoke too soon!!!

Oh well to the fans of the Cubbies and the Sox , " there's always next year" a phrase that they have heard after every year , since like forever. Time to watch the Habs have a great year. At least they will place higher in the standings than the Leafs.

Of course in true "Hollywood" fashion...there is a movie in the works...about the "fan".

The YANKEES WIN !!!

THE YANKEES WIN << THE YANKEES WIN

Just had to do that !!

It was bad enough stay up til 2am to watch the wheels fall off the Red Sox bus but , please don't rub it in, that phrase , will make most fans puke. We hate the **** Yankees and have instantly become some of the most ardent Marlin fans, even if some of us would like to see their owner Mr. Lauria strung up a light pole for totally F@%king up the Expos in his short time in Montreal.

Baseball should be

A CONTACT sport.....

Have not watched since the last strike...bunch of grown men, playing a boys game, and striking for MILLION$$$$$$

And its not like its a contact sport like Hockey...although, if they made it so, could make for interesting times at first base:argue:

Yankees

Not rubbing it in at all sunny... Just a man loyal to his team.. And I do understand how people get tired of seeing success !!! Kinda Like redwing fans vs montreal canadians so cheers to your hockey team and cheers to my beloved yankees !!! The Curse lives on !!:beer

forgot to tell you .. I HATE STEINBRENNER

Big deal the Wings have won 3 cups in the last decade , before that they went 42 years , in the same time frame the Habs won 19. If it wasn't for the ridiculous tax system that has them pay more than all the american teams combined, they would be able to pay the higher salaries and hold onto some veterans and be more competitive.

habs

Calm down I am no wings fan actually an islander fan and thru comparrisoms the way the islanders won their 4 straight cups would have been equivilant to 11 1/2 cups in a row the way the habs did. back when the habs were in their glory there wasnt 50 playoff games then the cup. So with that settled what debate is next. WOW !!!
