Creating a Corsage Bar

How will the bar be used? As a designer assembly line for production of corsages, or for consumers to look at the various accoutrements and flowers available for corsage use?

We set one up. the kids love it! I have all the wristlets on the display forms, all the pins & things displayed on a styro covered in black velvet so they can choose whatever bling they want added to their corsage. they can choose by the piece. then they pick out ribbon from our other area. I did recruit a couple of girls to wear one of our bracelets to school to advertise for us also . They get a free corsage for their effort and I may pick up a few new kids.

Go to Home Depot, or Lowes and take a look at their lumber section.

If it's for display
-you could make a wooden base that is about 16x24" (or whatever size you want)
-get some 2x4s and cut 3 lengths out of it (2 of each length)
-cut out a semi circle on one end of the 2x4 (this would be to cradle your dowel)
-tier the 3 levels of 2x4s, spacing them apart
-put a couple screws through the bottom of the wooden base, up through the 2x4 riser. (adding some carpenter's glue would be a good idea too)
-cut your dowels to length, and place them in the semi circular cradle in the 2x4
-then add a couple coats of paint, and you're done

-if you don't want it to look bulky, you wouldn't have to use 2x4's, just use something that will give you enough support. If you choose a smaller piece of lumber, you could use some small L brackets at the base.

You would need some power tools for this project, though

This may be a more expensive option, and it may take a bit more time, but you can make it totally custom.

We have prom in 3 easy steps. Choose the bracelet, choose the ribbon and accents, choose the flowers. Here is our bar.

You can also see it better in our facebook album.
