I've had 6 of these, (see photo,) in my basement for 4 years and have been un-inspired to do anything with them. Any suggestions other than selling for scrap metal?

Any climbing plant passionflowers, jasmine etc drop pot into wire ring then gift wrap the base. Or use base to hold a small block of wet oasis and gift wrap this bit up leaving the top of oasis showing so that the wire loop at top creates a handle. Then either moss or twist vines around the handle loop to give a garden feel and add flowers to oasis. Or you could sell it to put your kettle on over a camp fire!!!!! Bin here you come.

I would use ivy vine to twist around the frame and then in the centre i would put a square round dish and put a funky line arrangment in the centre. This would make a great focal point for a window.

spray green & cover with artificial ivy & curly willow combo.
Use re-creation container to house a 6" plant in its center.

grapevine or huckleberry vine to cover metal then a funky fall abstract design - window......
or grapevine or twig wreath to face front (place on back - bark wire to twist on "handle") drop in recreations container and use for sympathy work?

OMG - I have not seen those old metal mache basket holders in FOREVER !!!!!

Talk about some fantastic potted plant displays you could do with that.

Christmas is coming up - take a length of faux garland.....wrap around the handle and decorate.....then drop in a poinsettia plant - talk about a high end presentation that you could not get from the WS.

I've never seen them, but I would make a Christmas arrangement, by covering the large ring with mixed evergreens, drop a large votive holder into the horizontal ring with a battery votive candle or tealight, so no fire hazard. Or you could decorate with holiday greens and hang an ornament from the top of the circle, ala the ads I see in Florist Review for Hiawatha Greens. Have fun!

The horizontal ring is too big for a votive....it was originally intended to hold a 6 inch paper mache container for a sympathy basket presentation

A creative florist throw something away????? Horrors!!!!!! There's always a way to re-purpose something. Everyone had great ideas!
