Cut Hibiscus?

My niece is getting married and wants a tropical theme and really wants to wear a fresh yellow hibiscus blossom in her hair.
Any idea if that will hold up? I'm thinking not and would love some alternate suggestions for her. Fortunately the wedding is next summer so I have time to obsess, I mean think about ideas.:hammer:

If it has to be a hibiscus blossom, maybe look into the FlowerPik, a hair clip that holds water for a fresh flower - http://www.flowerpik.com

Just for the fun of it, why not try dipping the hibiscus bloom in the 1/2 water mixed with 1/2 elmers glue?
Who knows...it might work.

I tried that...um, no

I get this request from time to time too! I think a great substitution is a composite flower made from glads. That yellow one with the red streak on the inside would look pretty awesome! Plus with a bunch of glads, you could make a spare one in case of bruising.

Now that's a great idea, Cathy! I was going to suggest a silk one if she really wants it. There is absolutely no way it would hold up, even on the plant it only lasts a day.

Good luck, oh great obsessor!
