Just a quick story for you guys.
So, Thursday afternoon we (the lovely laurie and myself) had to take an emergency trip to Lubbock which is about 2 hours away. We are doing a hugh event tonite with 97 centerpieces plus other decor and, well, to shorten the story, let's just say, I didn't do my due diligence on procuring the vases for half of those tables. sooooo... we get to lubbock, pack up the van, and remember i have the HUGE sprinter, with boxes and boxes of vases, and then had to stop at the walmart in lubbock to pick up 60 palm trees, (now I don't have to take responsibility for that screw up, haha!), we're feeling pretty proud of ourselves, being flexible, had enough time in our schedule to make this emergency trip, so on etc...
now, it is 6:30 and dark, turn on the van,
the headlights don't work, aaaggh, pretty sure this is a problem that I can't fix in the dark in a parts store parking lot,
but we do still have our BRIGHTS>
okay, not optimal driving condition, but will at least get us home..
as i'm driving down the freeway, i am truly being cognizant of other drivers, which are very few thank goodness, and staying far enough behind so as not to blind them,
but lo and behold, my husband calls me from home, and in a very annoying tone of voice says
"are you driving with your brights on!" "well, yeah, i told you we were going to have to....
"someone just called here and said your driver is driving with their brights on and is blinding us!"
the person wasn't very pleasant and my husband really didn't know what to say.
sooo...this is when I remember that on the back of our HUGE ROLLING BILLBOARD is in LARGE numbers, our phone number.
Well, I guess it's a good thing, that's the ONLY thing we were doing wrong!
haha!!!
