1. New Mercury Delivery Confirmation Codification
Now you can take advantage of the delivery confirmation feature available on your FTD Mercury Technology system. This will let other FTD Members know that your shop will confirm delivery of all orders with a Mercury message. This great feature is available to FTD Mercury users with delivery confirmation capabilities.
Codification for Mercury Delivery Confirmation is FREE. Please send a message to FTD Directory Services at 90-0258AA and request that your shop be coded for Mercury Delivery Confirmation.
More and more consumers are requesting delivery confirmation for their floral orders. Now you have the opportunity to get more incoming orders by providing this service. If your technology system does not have delivery confirmation capability, please contact FTD technology for assistance at 800-788-9000.

This could well become industry standard, and I hope it does. It is a great thing that helps us compete with the drop shippers.

Thanks to the technology leaders (you know who) for introducing a great feature to the industry. I actually hope the day comes when they are required. It just could save our azzez.

Several different platforms already interact with regard to delivery confirmations, and yes I do see tham as a valuable tool.... and I also see them as a enhancement in customer service for those shops that have them.

The problem I see with the wires doing this they way they have is two fold, no doubt FTD wants this feature to flow backwards to the customers of Da Dot and secondly they will probably eventually figure out a way to charge for the service...(either the customer or the florist).

I did not get the Slimcast...did it mention what type of message would be used to facilitate this feature?

No...

it actually didn't....and got me a little curious about FTD's intent!!
I put out a couple of calls, and are waiting for an answer...
I TOO, am NOW the terminal skeptic, as to how long it'll take to become a "chargeable" feature.......
