So on the whole you're an optimist. I don't imagine you are a cynic though. That's a good thing.

I'm a cynic , or so I've told many times that and I quote " you're a cynical SOB". Do you need references to qualify ?? Can provide some if needed .

Brian... I'm not entirely sure I'd honour references from someone who added SOB to the mix.

He was a high school music teacher, don't even know if he's still alive, he didn't like my attitude toward classical music , it was a none credit forced course , so we treated it like it was a waste of our time , I can listen to classical music , like some of it , but can not suffer through opera for any reason. Hence my cynical attitude toward him and his opera.
