Delphinium in bridal bouquets

Okay, I'm sure to most of you this is a dumb question! :loopy I've never used delphinium in a hand-tied bouquet, and I'm not sure how to do it. Do I wire and tape individual blooms? Or do I use the actual stalk with blooms? Or can I just do whatever looks best ? I know delphiniums hold up well without water... so if I wire and tape how long with the blooms last? Thanks in advance for your advice!

Well that's a really good question, Jennifer. I have never questioned it. Maybe I should have.

For corsage work, I USED to tape the individual stem of each bloom, then wire and tape. For hand-tied I just tie it in with the other stems. Never gave it a thought.

same here-except will glue into a corsage now.I just use the whole stem in a hand tied boq

I have always used the whole stem.

I've only used it once but I used the whole stem too. Mine was actually in a holder -not handtied but it shouldn't make any difference.I think it would last longer than wired and taped.
