To all our friends and compatriots in our floral family in the path of Dennis today....

We in dryer safer lands are praying for your safe ride thru the bumpy seas, and a safe end to this monster of a storm...

Take care, take cover and hold on tight... may the good Lord bless you and keep you today.

Amen to that.

For those of you who had rains and flood from Ivan.this one is worse. Hard to imagine but even here in our area, the rain is incredible. Awful awful. Those poor guys in the panhandle are in for a really bad time.Waves are 33 feet close to them and the bands cover the whole State.Unfortunately we are on the dirty side. And we are just at the start of the season. Pray for those up state......

LA (Lower Alabama) Needs out prayers

Land fall is expected very near where Ivan landed. We have many friends in the biz who are in the direct path. Most survived Ivan with minimal damage, but with Tropical Storm Cindy preceding Dennis, the ground is already wet which means there will more than likely be severe flooding and tree damage.

Here in the Birmingham area we are expecting 40-70 MPH winds.

What was supposed to be my birthday celebration day and dinner out, turned out to be a date with a wet vac and towel duty! UGHHHHHH! :( Dennis the Menance created a flash flood over us here in North Atlanta and we have had 10+ inches of rain since he rolled through. After 30+ hours of water control & clean up, I finally got to sleep last night. We feel very lucky as many have lost their homes and in some cases their lives. I pray for those who were/are in his destructive path and hope everyone is well and safe. Let's hope Emily stays far away!

Not to make light of Emily, but it is my darling step-daughters name...

Of course I am having fun with this one, but I hope the storm is nothing like she is when her panties are in a bunch...
