Hey guys - I have to do a design demonstration (at one of the retail shops I freelance at) - for a a ladies garden club group - "fall into Christmas" tablescape ideas - what's new? Any great ideas I can use? I love picking all the brains on this forum - it's always a big help and I need a push on this! Program needs to last just 35-40 min - taking place next week (Oct 22). Thanks!

One thing that always draws a lot of comment.....and a ton of fun.....is to use a huge pumpkin or turban type squash........open the top of it.......clean it out and put about a 1/2 brick oasis.......and then wood pick the lid and put it to one side of the block.....and in the rest of it use all manner of garden, roadside flowers and greens.

Hi Patty

I find that the garden club loves to see what is new. The one that I have a lot of comments on are a series of small arrangement down the center of the table-tablescaping.I show them how to change it up for different price points.I always set aside 15-20min to show them any new product or design style. whatever. I also let them raffle my arrangements off that I made

wow thanks lizzie ann! - I was totally thinking along those lines - using a series of cylinder vases, sizes from 4" up to 10", that can be grouped or used in line. I had done a house party with this concept and it worked really well. Thanks for the confirmation!
Still trolling for ideas if anyone has more to add...

Hey Patty, try mixing in a few candles in crystal holders -votives,tealites,tapers each one different for a more formal look. They love when a setting get more elaborate as you go. Throw a few buds between the mix.
