Today is a significant festival and an official holiday in India, Diwali- festival of lights. People visit their relatives and friends and exchange gifts with each other. Though mainly sweets and chocolates are given but few also send flowers. Florists have more than normal business this day.

In the evening, people light their houses with earthern pots and candles- to signify victory of good over evil. Children fire crackers. People worship Goddesses of wealth-Laxmi.

Some business communities start their financial year on Diwali and new account books are opened on this day.

Heh.... yep... I had to go look up Diwali after it showed up on a web order and a few in house cards the last couple days....

We had a hand full of orders, maybe this is a promotion possibility... >making note for next year<

You are not the only one thinking that Mark. I don't know about Michigan, but here in SC, we have a rather large Indian/Hindi population. I certainly would not mind capturing that demographic.
