Just curious to know if we have any florists who also are pilots and love to fly.

Interesting article on Electric Planes/Gliders.

I am not a pilot, but fell in love with flying in small planes while on my last job.
Kathie would also love it.

I jumped out of a plane last summer, but would love to learn to fly.

I know Hangglide girl does her thing, anyone else?

I had my own airplane for 6 years - here's a pic

I also got an Indian Glider Pilot License at Safdarjang Airport in New Delhi, India.

Is there any thing you have NOT done? And looked like George Harrison doing it?
I look and you post a reply on 4+ threads, do you actually have a life? Your WIFE called she would like you to spend an evenig with your OFFSPRING!!! (You may not have much time left at your age! :)

In awe at a humble (??) florist in the outback od Oregon.

Did that back in the 60's - San Francisco Peace marches - Market Street to Haight/Ashbury.

The 60's - those wuz the daze...I'm just a fat grey haired florist these days.

Different buds these days.

OK I'm going to bed now, nite

Well, I love to fly, but not in the pilots seat! My sister runs a drop zone in South Jersey, but I have had no urge to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. Flying would be an expensive hobby these days!

Odd... the things that mattered then, matter now.

I'm glad for my history.

I love to fly... not a pilot though. And I have no reason to jump out of a perfectly good plane. ;)

I flew recon (RB-57D) for my Uncle Sam back in the early 60's and private (Cessina 172) until I met my wife in the late 60's and she said she would never get in a plane with me, so that ended that. But I still get a hankering to get in the wild blue younder, there is nothing like it.

My plane in the pic above was a 1953 Cessna 180, 34th one ever made with a Roberson STOL kit. Awesome plane, 160 mph 4 seater. I flew it all the time back and forth Portland to San Francisco (3 1/2 hours), once to Guadalajara Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan and about 3 times to Abbotsford.

I ran it out of gas once AT NIGHT, in the Shasta Trinity mountains and that's quite a story, but no time today to tell it.

Suffice it to say, it is one of the things in my life that convinced me there is a God , and I have a guardian angel.

My Dad was a fighter pilot with the RAF during WWII. He too loved to fly.
