One of our customers who purchases once or twice a year for funerals called us the other day and asked if we would loan her back the last two purchases worth of money until the beginning of next month. She said we knew she was good for it as she always pays us eventually.

What can I say?

Of course my mom who took the call said very nicely that she's sorry but we don't loan money. I'm glad she got the call as I fear I may have not been able to restrain my sarcastic side.

I guess it's just another sign of the times.

WOW...hmmm...she must REALLY be in a spot, huh? To turn to her florist (albeit not often) for a loan. Makes me wonder what could possibly be the reason to be so bold and put pride aside to ask.

Well at least she orders flowers from you.. I have people who are not customers come in and ask for a loan "we have no money for groceries.. or I can't pay my car payment" (when they drive a nicer car than me??) - I'll tell them - the bank is down the street!

They all think if you own a business your rich! :O) HA HA! RIGHT!
