While reviewing several local flower shop websites to see how our FSN arrangements compare to FTD and Teleflora for Valentines day I came across this:

"HAPPY THANKSGIVING from (name deleted by me)!!!!!! Don't forget fresh flowers at your festive dinnertable! It's the perfect way to say "THANKS" to all of your family and friends! We have wonderful selection of fall colored flowers...straight from the Boston Flower Market! Gorgeous colors of reds, oranges, and yellows will be sure to warm you up! Plus, XXXX's designs are amazing!!!!! So don't wait...ORDER TODAY!!!!!!!"

I can't understand why someone would pay FTD each month for this site - and then not maintain it. jenny

If it is like TF, once you make some custom changes to your site, you really need to keep on top of it and hide past holidays and stuff like that...Because I tend to go through and change things and delete things to my liking on my TF site, it messes with their automatic calander sometimes...I make sure I go in after each holiday and make sure it is all correct and the holiday just past is hidden....so many florists just never look at their websites, you really have no idea, they don't even know how much anything is on it or know what any of the arrangements look like that they are offering until someone calls about one and then it is a huge issue for them to even look it up...I don't think that your average old fashioned florist is aware that the website is an extension of their storefront and that they should at least know what is on the darn thing...I do let TF do most of my website, just because I am one person, but i do make it a point to keep up and remove things I don't like, or will never ever be able to get...and change prices that I cannot deal with although to be honest it doesn't happen too often on price...

You USED to be able to a lot of mods on your own - florist message by example. Now, you have to submit it all via email to FOL support. Too many folks tried their own "versions" of html and messed things up (that's the "official spin" anyway...).
Supposedly FOL will be having new templates out in April, but we'll see. Personally, and this is no secret to my FTD rep nor FOL, I am really dissatisfied with the available options on the site. FOL is way too slow in adopting new web tech, and that needs to change PRONTO. But, 'pronto' is not in FTD's vocab.

(strong feeling Herb will be looking at new web sites after M-day - especially if economy improves a little...)
